I've been playing a game of "what bird is this" with a local friend. He has been remarkable in getting all of the birds correct. The bird shown here, we can't agree on the identification. The picture is not very good, but there should be enough field marks to identify the bird.
Below is a photograph taken of the "Mystery Bittern". The photo is taken through a 34x scope with a Nikon 4500 camera.
